United Business Media plc Board changes

United Business Media plc today notes the following Board changes, as indicated in the notice of Annual General Meeting which will be sent to Shareholders on 11 April. UBM will hold its Annual General Meeting on 13 May 2008.

Alan R. Gillespie CBE has been appointed to the Board as a non-executive director with effect from 11 April. Mr Gillespie is Chairman of Ulster Bank Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group, and also chairs the International Finance Facility for Immunisation (IFFIm), an intergovernmental organisation established to fund vaccination programmes for children in many of the world's poorest countries. Mr. Gillespie has previously held posts in both the private and public sectors, including Partner at Goldman Sachs & Co, Chief Executive of the Commonwealth Development Corporation and Chairman of the Northern Ireland Development Board. Mr Gillespie will be proposed for election by shareholders at the Annual General Meeting.

Adair Turner will retire from the Board at the Annual General Meeting, having served as a non-executive director for over eight years. In accordance with UBM’s articles of association, Sandy Leitch and Christopher Hyman will also retire from UBM’s Board at the AGM.
